My Best Friends

Blue

He always laughs loudly and tells cold jokes which only we four can understand. He is also kind-hearted to accompany me to do lots of things, especially stupid things. We are on diet now. Hopefully we could succeed!

William

Every day starts with a little quarrel with him. We can hardly reach an agreement but we are still enjoying arguing. He always says that Millet is so rich but actually his account is far more than mine.

Wa Ha

He likes painting and taking pictures as me. He is also a good singer. Recently I find he is so cute when playing badminton. People all think that he looks like MashiMaro. So do I!

Isabel

She always calls me dear. She can play the piano very well and likes Faye very much. She has a big head and enjoys being called bear.

My roommates

We cook food, make birthday cakes ourselves. We go shopping and go to KTV together. And we share our joys and sorrows.

 My Classmates
I love my class because of the interesting tutors and lovely classmates. We are always active, united, passionate and funny. 14 girls and 7 boys make up the unique Class 15.

What I have learned at NIE

 English classes

At NIE, I have taken several English classes, including reading, writing, oral communication and listening. During these classes, I have improved my English a lot, especially in accomplishing lots of projects, such as survey, debate, research paper, preparing a class, which I seldom got chances to work on in China. Since they are mostly new to me, I have more interests and passion in them. Furthermore, I really appreciate my class with good tutors and funny classmates.

 Interaction with Singaporeans

Besides the bridging course, NIE also offers me the opportunities to communicate with local people. In canteen, I get to know different kinds of Singaporean food, the way they cook food, what they like to eat, etc. I like the variety of fruits most. In library, I talk to the librarians and learn to search for and borrow books as well as using databases.
